My asus chromebook flip c214 died suddenly when I was watching a youtube video.
I have tried to press on off button etc. but nothing happens. No little light comes on on the side. The screen is black.
From the day I bought it new, the left hinge was hard to turn.
Could it be wiring going from the screen to the chromebook?
Can these wires be bought? Where?
What else can it be and what can I do to try and turn it on?
Can I get the information off the chromebook? It is a flashdrive soldered onto the board.
Any help is welcome.
Thanks and have a good day

Thanks for the answer. I tried all those but it is black and not responsive. Could it be the wire?

The likelihood is low, perhaps you could consider cross-testing with an external monitor to confirm if the issue is caused by the screen malfunction. Since we cannot see the actual condition of your laptop, we still recommend sending it for repairs for further confirmation. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
