Asus 6z Bluetooth issue after android 10 update
So I've been using Bluetooth 5 aptx earphones since the phone was on Android 9 and after the update the earphones don't connect properly. After seeing the developer settings I realized the phone isn't connecting on aptx but instead standard profiles and other codecs get disabled.also the phone connects to both true wireless earpieces separately on mono mode instead of stereo and no matter what it won't change back to stereo.
Can anyone confirm/solve this issue?

Guess you could try resetting the headphones, I myself haven't had any issues connecting to my Skullcandy crusher wireless headset with the Android 10 update.
I had this problem, restarted the device and it worked properly
Ive restarted the device, reset the earphones but it still won't connect properly.any other ideas or something you might have done that solved it?
I had this issue when I was on Android 9. I rebooted the device to safe mode then connected my headphones which worked fine for me. And then I started the device again and tried connecting the headphones and it worked perfectly fine! Try it if you haven't already!!
Tried using safe mode but the same behavior persists. I think the problem is that no matter what I do in Dev options the Bluetooth sticks to best effort instead of any other option and disables optional codecs.mono mode as well.the earphones work but connects to both of them separately and the commands don't work properly now. Even tried resetting the network settings, safe mode. How to report this bug?
I had the problem of the earbuds connecting separately with my new Zenear BT.
It is not a problem with the phone.
The right one should pair with the left one first, and then only the left one pairs with the phone.
To get them to work correctly I had to reset them both at same time.
How you do that depends on your earbuds, and some brands do this left to right I read.
Ive done that already.as I said it connected properly on Android 9. Even if it connects separately it should use aptx. Why is it not using aptx?
No idea as to aptx, mine use only SBC or AAC,.
AAC works well, but had to choose it in developer settings first.
Tried the earphones on a 6z with android 9 and they connected properly. Their audio improvements in android 10 broke aptx and stereo mode. Are these moderated? How to report the bug? It's kinda a big issue if aptx and stereo mode doesn't work
Only other thing I can think of is like a firmware update for the earphones. For example some beats earphones you could update the installed firmware on by connecting then to a PC and going through some program.
Otherwise the best option may just be waiting for an update from Asus ?
Tried it on a 6z still on pie and turns out they work perfectly. The audio improvements in android 10 seem to have broken the aptx codec and stereo mode. It's kinda a big issue.are these moderated? How to submit the bug?
Have you checked with the manufacturer of your headphones that they work in Android 10? What are your headphones called? Maybe there are others with the same issue.
I doubt it. They're Lenovo ht10 earphones.
They work fine on other devices and even the 6z on pie
I don't know what to say. This is the first post that I've seen where someone says their bluetooth device stopped working with Android 10.
Have you tried other bluetooth devices?
I also just updated to android 10. I can't connect bluetooth headphones too. I am using Anker sound buds and they work with my laptop and tablet, but don't work on my phone.
I just bought a new pair of Philips UpBeat Shb2505bk/10 and they can't connect to my phone. I thought there was an issue with the earbuds but they simply connect to my iPad without any hassle. When I press pair in Bluetooth the phone waits for a while before giving me the message "Can't communicate with Philips Shb2505bk". Please work to find the issue and resolve it in a fota.
I have exact same problem i.e no matter what, it just won't connect in Stereo mode, both connect in mono mode. Headset is Lennova HT10 which uses APTX. Same headset is able to connect successfully in stereo mode on PC & other devices like One plus 6 & 7. This definitely broke in last last recent update and is very annoying. I have tried rebooting, resetting headset etc but it still won't connect. Asus screwed it big time and needs to fix this asap
Today one fota update came but I think Asus still not able to solve the Bluetooth issue. What Asus is doing I don't know.
I have the sabbat e12 ultras. Won't connect in stereo, only mono in developer settings. I have a mi 9T Pro on android 10. Tried them on a p20 Pro on android 9. Headphones connect to stereo and Aptx no problem. They show up as 2 seperate devices in the Bluetooth connection page. Any ideas anyone? Incidentally they work as stereo on old nexus 6p showing up as stereo on aac codec
