Zenfone 9 won't disconnect from WiFi after leaving house

Hello,

 

I had now a few times the issues with my new Zenfone 9 that after leaving the house (the WiFi) my phone kept being logged in the WiFi, at least it "believed" it was still in the WiFi, even so I was miles away. As a consequence no messenger app like WhatsApp or so received or sent any messages. Anyone an idea what causes this problem? Thus far it seems to only appear with my home WiFi (dual frequencies, Fritzbox).
