ZenFone 9 arrived with newer firmware than is available for download

I just purchased & received a new ZenFone 9 (US version). It arrived with firmware 32.2040.2040.28. However, the only version available for download on the Asus support site is 32.2040.2040.23, which is out of date.
I need a download of the current version, for development purposes. Where I can I download the current/correct firmware, as shipped on my new device?

It seems not all country-specific ASUS support sites are updated.
On the Swiss/German support site, firmware version WW-32.2040.2040.28 is available for download (I currently cannot post any links, you have to manually copy this address):  asus.com/ch-de/Mobile/Phones/ZenFone/Zenfone-9/HelpDesk_BIOS/

I think that only change is apn list updated for US carriers.
