Disable Heads Up Notifications

I just bought my Zenfone 9 (my first stock android phone) and I noticed a lot of Heads Up notifications.

Is there a way to disable them, per app or totally? I had them disabled on my previous devices.

I know it might sound outrageous, but if they cannot be disabled, it's a deal breaker for me and I will be returning the phone.
I absolutely loathe 90% of Heads Up notifications and wish for a way to disable them (natively, I've heard there's an app that does that)

You can disable the Mini heads-up notification through the Apps and Notifications settings. Settings>Apps & Notifications>Privacy>Mini heads-up notification.
