Cannot receive configuration messages

Hi,
on my brand new Zenfone 9 I'm not able to receive configuration messages from my carrier. I just receive an SMS that tells me to click on the notification of the configuration message once displayed, but anything else.

Phone specs:
Zenfone 9 16GB/256GB
OS: Android 13
FW: 33.0804.2060.204 (shoul be the latest available for my device)

My operator is CoopVoce (italian virtual operator). Today I did a factory reset but the problem persists.

I contacted the helpdesk of my operator. It said me that I cannot receive these messages because the device is not among those supported by that feature.. Strange, I thought these messages were standard for android and device independent.
