Asus file manager blocked by Google

I recently discovered that the Asus File Manager app cannot be used anymore to access Google Drive storage. The application seems to have been blocked by Google for non compliance with it's security requirements.

Due to Google’s policy changes regarding third-party app services, starting from the second quarter of 2024, the
File Manager app has suspended support for new Google Drive account logins. Please open the Google Drive
app directly to access files. If you have previously authorized the File Manager app to access Google Drive, it will not be affected. However, if the device has been reset, you will no longer be able to log in with the original account.
