Zenfone 8 - Bootloader unlock tool APK doesn't work - Failed to unlock your device [11006]

Trying to use the official Asus bootloader unlock APK on my Zenfone 8 but I get an error response:

Failed to unlock your device, please try again later [11006]

From reading other posts on the web I understand this is a common problem and the server at dm.asus.com is maybe down?

Can someone from Asus please look into this?

Is there an alternative way to unlock the bootloader?

Same problem here too, looking at logcat I saw that "dm.asus.com/unlock/register" always fails and return a 500 http code.

Can someone from ASUS please give an update?

I contacted ASUS support but they have not been able to help. They just gave me a link to the Zenfone 8 support page. 😞

I still can not unlock. Is there ANY estimate when this could be available again?

All the issues I have been facing on this device are unbelievable, and support is useless. I will probably never buy an asus product ever again and will not recommend it to anybody I know.
