Zenfone 8 - Bootloader unlock tool APK doesn't work - Failed to unlock your device [11006]

Trying to use the official Asus bootloader unlock APK on my Zenfone 8 but I get an error response:

Failed to unlock your device, please try again later [11006]

From reading other posts on the web I understand this is a common problem and the server at dm.asus.com is maybe down?

Can someone from Asus please look into this?

Is there an alternative way to unlock the bootloader?

Hi , the unlock tool will be made available at Q3 of this year .This is what Asus customer service sent to me. They are redesigning the unlock apk because of bugs in the previous unlock apk
