I'm looking to buy the ZenFone 8 in 2024. Is it a good smartphone currently?

Hello everyone, I'm currently looking to buy the ZenFone 8 for 2024, for its performance, small size, good cameras...It's still a good device, What should I know before buying, or whether I should buy it or not, Help me in this situation, please. (Note the device is used, but in excellent condition)

Don't buy it unless you do not care about the software at all. From the looks of it there are going to be no more updates so security will remain at November 2023. On top of that, unless you manage to get a phone with bootloader already unlocked, you will not be able to install LineageOS either. Asus seems to be using slow frog boiling approach when it comes to bringing back the ability to unlock the bootloader, promising deadlines but then not doing anything.
