off2fly115serious??? my goodness, how long does the whole process take?https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/193289#Comment_193289
Yeah, no. I did not spend almost $700 on a freaking phone just to have it opened up and have the main board replaced because of a GPS issue. That is f****** crazy.

kongmenghongExactly. We shouldn't have to worry about small things like this after buying a new phone 🤦:male_sign:https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/193290#Comment_193290

also just wondering, once they replace the board, will it affect the IP68 rating?

off2fly115ya man, guess i have to send it back. as my GPS is useless at the moment. Funny how i have to bring along my old phone for my navigation when the new phone with high end specs doesn't even work!https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/193350#Comment_193350

And I imagine it wouldn't take too long. Maybe a couple of weeks, but I'm not sure. I've had Asus products repaired in the past and it took 1-3 weeks.
As far as the IP68 rating, I wanna say that they will most likely install new seals before putting it back together, but sadly there is no real way to tell as far as I know. Unless you are willing to dip your phone in water and test for yourself, which I won't be doing because I don't wanna take the risk haha.
It's sad that a new phone that is less than 6 months old is already facing so many issues 🤦:male_sign:
