Camera app doesnt work zenfone 8

Not rooted

Camera app version - 8.19.6.0.221208

i have the exact same problem as - @zgredek94 had in he's thread here - link to thread

it seems like it is not a hardware problem because sometime the camera app works, sometimes not. i tried to do a factory reset. didn't help. and i tried all measurments that stated on the above thread. what can i further do?

Have you done the SMMI test yet? 

Calculator> type ".12345+=">SMMI TEST>Single Test>Wide-angled Camera Capture Test/Tele Camera Capture Test/Front Camera Capture Test

I did try that.

Front camera works but the test fails and brings up - something is wrong with the front camera test . 

Rear camera 1 - doest come up.

Rear camera 2 works but also written that the test is not  successful.

The thing is that sometimes unpredictably the camera app works, but most of the time it doesn't. Therefore it is hard for me to believe that it's hardware problem. Also on WhatsApp/Telegram/Instegram everything works perfectly.

Anything else i can try?

Hi,

I had some video call sharpening issue, hence went and performed the SMMi (Asus 😎 test and all the cameras failed the test. All the cameras work fine but all of them failed the test.

Please help, what should I do ?
