Of late, notifications that appear as banners on the lock screen do not appear as banners after I unlock the screen - and I want them to. Rather, after unlock the notifications show only in the form of tiny icons in the notification bar - until and unless I pull down that bar.
There are (too) many settings that could (conceivably) cause the problem but I cannot find any options that I have selected that might be causing the problem. For (though this list is not exhaustive): Do Not Disturb is off; no special battery saving mode is on; at least some of the affected apps (e.g. WhatsApp) has the relevant type(s) of 'pop on screen' notification enabled.
I have Android 13.
