are all the tools for making custom roms avalible?

recently iv'e bought the zenfone 8, and ive been confused that there are 0 custom roms for this phone, so it got me thinking,

is asus providing the tools and the binaries for making custom roms?
and are there the tools for the edl mode like some other brands are providing?

becasue as long as i understand it is not hard at all to unlock the bootloader on the zenfone 8 and I am really concerned about the future of the phone (after the updates will stop rolling in)

They are coming, just give the developpers a little bit of time, the phone was released to the public just 2 months ago.

The thing is not about it, as long as I know ROM devs need some tools to develop the roms from the manufacturer itself
So I am asking if aSUS provide all the necessary tools for devs
