Yesterday, I put my ZenFone 8 to charge and it got to the black screensaver mode. A few minutes later I tried to unlock the phone but it still had a black screen, No response, and no charging light while it was connected to the charger.
As it seems, from the threads here, XDA, and Reddit - the phone has DIED.
The most unfortunate part is that I have had it for 2 years and the warranty covers only 1 year, but it shouldn't be that way, that a pricy phone is getting useless after that short period.
ASUS won't admit that something with the phone hardware is broken, so all we had to do, is try to fix it (and probably you will have to pay half of its price), or just don't buy that series anymore.
Very Unfortunate.
