When you connect headphones that can play audio in AAC format, for some reason they play SBC with a terrible sound by default. And only if you open the developer mode and force the AAC format to be installed, we will see that HD audio turns on and the sound gets better. I have checked on other ASUS and Sony models and there is no such problem. I tried on 11 and 12 android (latest versions) ASUS zen 8 and the problem is not solved except by force. But the LDAC format works fine. Does ASUS know about this.
