Zenfone 6, glass back replacement

Myself and other ZenFone 6 owners are struggling to get the back glass panel replaced by ASUS.
Does anyone have experience with how much this repair would cost?
I am reluctant to send the phone away at a cost of £45, only to find out the repair cost is very expensive.
