HDR reliability?

HDR is very inconsistent for me, sometimes it goes of in really dark shots, which will then be overexposed. 
And sometimes it doesn't go on in well lit environments, resulting in bad high dynamic range

Our camera team is continuously working on improving our camera.  This will improve with future updates.
