Camera does not saves photo at 48MP from lockscreen

This happens sometime when I open camera from lockscreen and quickly snap a photo.
It show me that the photo has been clicked and I lock my phone again however when I check the gallery the image is not there.
Is there a timeout for photos being saved at 48MP?
Workaround is to snap multiple photos as one of them can make it to gallery
