dt808T-Mobile is not blocking anything. The phone is just failing to actually receive calls when Wi-Fi is on. Apparently in some regions the phone has "Wi-Fi calling" fully enabled. I suspect the half-enabled feature (it can be fully unlocked with a dialer code (https://tech4mean.blogspot.com/2020/01/enable-vowifi-on-asus-zenfone-6.html)) in other regions is causing problems.for those on t-mobile, has anyone tried turning off their spam blocking feature to see if maybe some calls are being marked as spam/scam so they aren't being routed through? i just turned it off a couple hours ago so we'll see how it goes.

skylerwolfeI'm glad there is some progress with this going on. I had resorted to forwarding my number to Google Voice for the last few months and using What'sApp for family (with my $1000 phone, lol, smh). I unfortunately cannot be a part of the log testing due to my location not having service. If we can continue to get the developers to remember us Americans by showing these efforts, I believe we're closer to a decent non-root fix.https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/51317#Comment_51317
Hadn't looked at that thread in a while. It certainly appears it would be very easy for Asus to fix the mbn of the Zenfone6 to accommodate volte for TMobile US. Unfortunately without their help, it requires voiding the warranty by unlocking the bootloader to get root access. Then if the bootloader is re-locked, the effect apparently won't persist after reboot and that wacky code would have to be entered after every reboot.
If this change were made via Asus developers I would struggle to find really anything else important to complain about on this phone. This really is a big deal and is apparently a relatively easy fix. @LP_ASUS

justinleon2113If you're on TMobile and have poor signal, have you tried the digits app?https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/51333#Comment_51333

skylerwolfeThanks @skylerwolfe , but I have an MVNO (which I paid for six months in advance). I have considered switching to T-Mobile when this is up mainly due to their Cellspot devices they give out or rent...that thing would work well where I am, but for now, I'll just be patient and hope we get Wifi Calling soon.https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/52259#Comment_52259
