I wanted to see if anyone else had issues with not getting calls or texts (irrespective of carrier) or if it could be just carrier issues for me. I have great coverage in my area, thus it is not like I am roaming or disconnected. Thank you for the help.

justinleon2113The cellspot works great BUT it does not fix the issues mentioned in this thread. I have one at home and always have strong signal but still get occasional delayed texts or missed calls as so many have noted on TMobile. (So I use the Digits app as a backup for calls and voicemail). Hopefully this thread stays alive and an option to fix volte shows up. Maybe that would fix all this....https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/52260#Comment_52260
Thanks @skylerwolfe , but I have an MVNO (which I paid for six months in advance). I have considered switching to T-Mobile when this is up mainly due to their Cellspot devices they give out or rent...that thing would work well where I am, but for now, I'll just be patient and hope we get Wifi Calling soon.

skylerwolfeso how are u using digits on your device line? within the digits app, there is a caution that says 'turning on a device line in digits is not recommended' so was wondering if you are receiving double text notifications and what would happen if a voice call actually did come through? would the phone and digits ring at the same time? hope this makes sense. thanks.https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/52259#Comment_52259
If you're on TMobile and have poor signal, have you tried the digits app?

dt808If you open the side menu in the app and tap on your name/number, it will bring up a menu. About 1/3 of the way down, there is an option for "do not disturb". In there are toggles for texting, calls, voicemail. You will only be notified by the app for items that you have toggled "off".https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/52260#Comment_52260

I have texting toggled "on" so that the app does not notify me about texts, mainly because then I get 2 notifications which is annoying. The downside is that if I miss a text due to whatever the issue is with this phone and t-mobile, I still won't know I missed it unless I manually go in the digits app and look. But at least I can do that, especially if I am expecting a text.
I have VM and calls toggled "off" so that the app does notify of these. It's slightly weird when I get a call because both the digits app and the native dialer app ring the ringtone, but once I answer either of them (it seems the stock dialer usually stays in front), it is fine. I am ok with this, because at least the digits app should act as a backup and ring if the phone isn't getting the "real" call. Hopefully that makes sense.
It's kind of the same way with the voicemails in that both the native app and the digits app notify about them. I actually like the format for the voicemails better in the digits app, just personal preference.
Hopefully that's helpful and makes sense.
