Have you experienced this issue yourself? Yes I have restarted the phone, your comment doesn't make any sense. My friend's zenfone also does the same. I'm on the android 10.

I experienced problems with Recent button after update on my previous phone Xiaomi Mi A1, just restarting resolved the problem.
But for example in this thread you can see that restart helped to one user, but not to another one:
No Recent apps after pie update
So try another method: shut down the phone for about 1 minute, then power on.

No, you didn't understand the problem, I didn't say I can't see the apps when I click the recent apps, I said that I'm still seeing the apps when I click the recent apps button, and when I click on any of those apps, a Toast message is shown saying "App isn't available". The problem is, the apps shouldn't be visible after I clear the recent apps. is it clear now?
