I ran down the battery fully on my Asus Zenfone 5 ZE620KL yesterday watching videos. I plugged it in to charge and soon after I tried to turn it on. It managed to go through the initial logo screens but then went back to the battery charge screen and didn't actually turn on. After that, it wouldn't reach enough charge to turn on either plugged in or not plugged in. Now it doesn't even show that it's charging at all when I plug it in. I did a quick search and found that it might be stuck in a boot loop but I'm not sure. Any suggestions? It's basically out of warranty so Asus will charge extortionately just to receive and look at it, happy to try and do some physical repairs myself if need be.

In terms of battery usage, the most critical issue is allowing the battery to reach 0%, rendering it unable to recharge. In your situation, it appears to be a malfunction in the battery causing this inconvenience. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
