[5z] Justice to flagship, Atleast zenui 7 top of Android 10 OR Android 11 top of zenui 6

Time has come ASUS has started beta testing for 6z as its regular cycle why skip 5z as a flagship i personally feel 5z is best device ASUS has made till date with lesser hardware issues comparing 6z n rog series also 5z is most sold smartphone till date for ASUS in flagship range m happy with dedicated support till date for 5z and still ongoing for more few months
But as a flagship owner want to tell ASUS that is 5z really worth to be called as flagship 👇
1.No vowifi
2.No prime hd
3.No ARCORE
4.No camera UI improvements even after Zenui 6
5.No dedicated nightmode for capable sensor in camera app
6.Touch panel stutters in games exists since Android 8 (which we and mods are still fighting to get fix from devs )
even after several requests since months from 5z users no hard push from ASUS for 5z users why? No requested features are seen
If thats fine not to give it to 5z owners than its ok
But to fill this huge gap can asus make us happy with surprising decision like more 6 months update cycle with implementations like atleast providing
*ZENUI 7 on Android 10 itself
OR
*Android 11/R on top of ZENUI 6 itslef
I wish atleast ASUS will reconsider our request and justice 5z as a flagship before ending up support to 5z

Zenfone 5, Max pro etc. While your best-selling phones did not even get Android 10 in an easy interface like "AOSP", even when it is not certain to buy. If it buys Android 11 and ZenUI 7 just because 5Z has sold a bit more. Phone users, who play a big role in the Asus forum, will make various sanctions against Asus that will cause them to be harmful and not preferred. For this reason, instead of evaluating the phones that you do not need and do not promise, I strongly recommend that you evaluate your lagging users who have promised and cannot use many features because of you. Yup everything you said is true 5z should get android 11 update or atleast Zen UI 7
We need those accent color and icon shape options,plus Zen ui 7 has so many good features (themestore is pretty meh compared to what zen ui 7 has)
Asus atleast owes us this as we do lack some things that current/2018 flagships which launched alongside 5z have and I'm not complaining it's fine as long as Asus considers updating 5z to android 11 or zen ui 7

I'm surprised to see the amount of traction this post has got,not even Zenfone 6 android 11 beta program has these many likes and views 😂

This basically confirms that Zenfone 5z has a very large and active community both here on zentalk and overall

Now Asus has a decision to make here,citing that "samsung and oneplus sell way more" so they can give 3 android updates and we can't won't work here

Samsung and OnePlus say way more because they have build their foundation on good carrier support globally,volte/vowifi for NA carriers, adequate supply smooth launch windows,a offline market presence and advertising for better brand identity (talking strictly about Asus mobile division here,their pc and Rog division doesn't need any special introduction and Congo to Asus for that)

Due to the lack of advertising people barely know that Asus makes phones too (I've witnessed this first hand in India and I'll be honest Zenfone 5z got Asus in premium flagship range here again,it was the first value for money Zenfone in a while before that meh) the ui, pricing, hardware everything was on point for 5z

Basically tech nerds go for Asus phones who compare and check various aspects of phones before buying

Asus won't be able to compete on the same terms or sell as much unless it makes the aforementioned changes,so we as users shouldn't have to hear that as excuse 😒

So comparing sales here is not ideal

As far as Asus is concerned Zenfone 5z is one of the best selling Zenfones without any doubt and a currently has a large and active userbase

Just an FYI 5z was sold until early 2020 in India (many did buy it recently)

The fact that we didn't get a dedicated night mode in stock camera still pisses me off,we even have OIS to benefit from a night mode smh,no vowifi is another con

Mods here said that it was too much work in the code here ,I say bullshit! It was just the developers being lazy that's all

Zenfone 7 and 6 have a amazing night mode,the fact that we lack one is cringeworthy

I see post 2018 Asus as the "new Asus" we have a better zentalk now where mods actually answer our questions,a better ui, actually no major bug and updates are well at a decent pace now

The fact that Asus was able to pull android 10 beta program flawlessly on 5z reinforces my fact that Asus can give us A11

I'll just like to add one of my experiences

Back when we got android 10 on 5z in November last year few of my buddies with oneplus 6's and Samsung s9s were quite astonished that a Asus phone could be faster updated for a major android update than the generally "faster oneplus"

Now Asus can build up it's goodwill from 5z,Asus just has 5 flagship devices including 5z right now this is a excellent time to make a change in Asus's update policy

All these little changes will make Asus more popular and existing users will have better probability to upgrade to a Asus phone again

Well said, Asus surprised us by giving A10 earlier than other flagship phones including Samsung, OnePlus. Hopefully they again surprise us by extending our support and if they do then Asus can be a tough competitor for other smartphone companies.

Its time for asus to prove we can see this larger response to thread itself shows if asus surprises 5z users those users will surely praise and appreciate brand value
But if asus doesnt provide anything to 5z 100 users n more from this larger 5z community will be surely disappointed
I belive atleast asus will not dissapoint this large community i would say larger than any other zenfone or rog community
5z rules forum with a perfect flagship hardware just lacking here is some useful features like
Vowifi
Prime hd
Dedicated Night mode
No camera ui changes after zenui 6
Touch issue
