I have a Signal backup running at 2:15AM at night, and one hour later I have a FolderSync backup running to move that Signal backup file to my Google Drive.
I can't pinpoint exactly when this started going wrong, but the Signal backups are no longer running at night. Instead, they start running the exact moment my alarm goes off. As you can see in the attached screenshot:
The backup is scheduled at 2:15AM, but was taken "32 minutes ago" at 7:32. My alarm goes off at 7:00. This happens every day. No matter what time the alarm is set, the backup only starts when it goes off.
And this doesn't affect Signal only. This also affects FolderSync, because the copy starts only when my alarm goes off as well. Meaning it always fails, because the backup is still actively running.
So obviously, something is preventing these apps from doing their scheduled tasks at night. I have disabled all Battery saving options for these apps (Allow background usage is enabled and set to unrestricted and background app management is disabled), and they are allowed to auto-start. I have sheduled charging enabled from 10PM to 8AM during which my phone automatically goes into DND mode.
I didn't have this issue with any previous phones either. Running Android 15 build number WW_35.064.040.65

Thank you, please let me know if there are any changes.

Same issue unfortunately. It also happens when the phone is not in DND mode at night.

See if this works for your problem also:

Signal is listed under Background Check and was already enabled. FolderSync is not listed there.
