Asus Zenfone 10, Android 13, build WW_33.0220.0220.52.
I have an issue, where the proximity sensor stops working during a call in specific intervals (around 1 minute). When I answer a call and put the phone close to my ear, the screen gets disabled, but after a minute of holding the phone steady, close to my ear (I know the sensor is a little to the side of the speaker), the screen gets activated. Then I need to move the phone away and back, and the proximity sensor works again for around 1 minute and the problem comes back.
I tested the proximity sensor, and during the test it never showed any symptoms mentioned above. The issue seems to occur only during calls.
Using different call screens and phone apps doesn't help.

The phone is impossible to use, everything is as described, the screen constantly lights up. and you use your ear to call people you shouldn't call.

@erkapiter Are you also under the impression that it is a software issue, not the sensor itself? I think this way because I am only seeing this behaviour during calls. When I was making long lasting sensor tests, it never happened. The issue also tend to come an go. For example today I had two phone calls when this was happening to me every minute, but after them, when I tried to reproduce the issue, it stopped.
If you would have a good opportunity, please try and catch the issue as @Mansi_ASUS described above, maybe even with a video, if you have the ability. That's what I'm trying to do for the last couple of days.

I have a strong feeling that Asus is mocking us ,by forcing us to do this. Many users have this problem, they constantly write about it on the forums. We bought this phone because of the designer, God bless him, but while it was working, the programmers ruined everything.)))
