MyAsus (4.0.3) cannot apply Fan profile selection

With the new version of MyAsus, after selecting Standard or Performance Mode and clicking on Apply, the result is always set back to Whisper mode. 

How to solve this problem?

May I know the full model of the laptop you are using?
[Notebook/Desktop/AIO] How to check the model name and BIOS version
Additionally, could you please provide the current BIOS version and system version (operating system build number) you are using?
