Audio problem with Zenbook Oled 14 using chrome

Gchan

Well there seems to be a problem in general not only with the Zenbook, but also with the Vivobook[1]. As I have read about the HP

The problem is when sending the screen or a tab, the audio is muted on the laptop, but it is also not transmitted to the tv. If you activate the audio on the laptop it is activated on the TV so it is duplicated and annoying.

As a temporary solution, they propose to use headphones to mitigate the problem. But it's not a solution by a long shot. I have posted the same issue in the Spanish forum [3] to track it in both languages.

I hope Asus will release some update to fix the problem. This is the first time I've had problems with one of their products and I'm actually surprised.

Here is another person affected with the same problem with a Vivobook Pro oled 15 Ryzen 7.

Asus must listen and serve their clients and not tell us that nothing is happening and give us sloppy solutions.

@Gchan
May I ask for the complete model of the laptop you are using?
How to find Model Name
How is it connected to the external monitor?
Could you provide a video of the issue for us to investigate?
Additionally, please provide the current BIOS version, system version (operating system build number), graphics card version, audio driver version, and Chrome version.

Sorry for any inconvenience it may be caused.

It is connected to a TV through the "Display on another screen" function of Google Chrome.

It is a brand new product, and it should work as the rest of devices at my place where no issues are going on but with this model.

Current BIOS Version:
UEFI Version: UX3402VA.302

EC Version: UX3402VA.302

OS: Windows 11 Home 23H2
OS version: 22631.2715

Graphics card version: Intel Iris Xe Graphics Version 31.0.101.4255

Audio driver version: Realtek 10.0.22621.1

Chrome Version: 120.0.6099.63

Thank you very much for your support @Falcon_ASUS

@kitecin
I will forward your feedback to the technical department for confirmation.
In the meantime, may I ask which brand and model of TV you are using?
Could you also help confirm if the firmware version of the TV has been updated to the latest?
Additionally, I have sent you a message. Please provide your laptop serial number through the message so that I can provide feedback accordingly.
Thank you.
