ASUS OLED Care -> Pixel Shift causes odd/undesirable desktop/theme behavior

Detailed description：
When Pixel Shift is enabled in ASUS OLED Care settings (in MyASUS app), the desktop background mode continuously reverts to slideshow mode. On the "Themes" tab in Windows settings, it will show slideshow regardless of the mode chosen on the "Background" tab. If a solid color background is selected, it will automatically switch to an image within minutes. It took me a great deal of painstaking troubleshooting to identify that Pixel Shift was causing this issue.

I have very similar issue on Zenbook 14x, Windows 11 22H2, and it also took me considerable amount of time to identify Pixel Shift as the reason.

When Pixel Shift is enabled, the Windows background keeps reverting to "Picture" when "Slideshow" or "Spotlight" are selected. It even interferes with the Bing Wallpaper app.
When Pixel Shift is disabled, everything works as expected.
