Hello, I’m having an issue with my PC’s touchpad, which has stopped working. I tried uninstalling it in Device Manager to force my PC to reinstall it when I restart it, but it only worked once. After a few minutes, the touchpad stopped working again. I checked in the BIOS, and it is enabled. I tried downloading the touchpad driver for my PC model from the official ASUS website, but it didn’t work. I believe I need to reinstall a software called Intel I2C, but I don’t know where to find it. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

The solution is EC reset: turn off device > remove charger and all external devices > press the power button for 40 secs > turn on device
it worked for me no idea why the trouble started and no idea how this is the fix. Most probably i will be back saying the touchpad crashed again

@vatziurre
Different models may use different hardware platforms, driver architectures, and firmware versions. Therefore, even if the symptoms appear to be similar, the underlying cause may be different.
Since you mentioned that the issue has occurred under both Windows 10 and Windows 11, and that reinstalling the operating system temporarily restores normal functionality, we recommend performing a Cloud Recovery or reinstalling the operating system to restore the device to a clean default environment. During the verification period, please avoid installing any third-party tuning, optimization, or control utilities, and then monitor whether the issue reoccurs.
If the same issue continues to occur in a clean system environment with only the drivers provided on the ASUS support website installed, then a hardware-related issue or platform controller abnormality cannot be ruled out. In that case, we recommend bringing the device to an ASUS Service Center for further inspection and diagnosis.

Also you can contact the local service center for help.

Hi
An internet search returns this...........
Important clarification: The Asus Vivobook M1505YA uses an AMD Ryzen processor (not Intel), so it doesn't have an "Intel I2C" driver. It uses AMD Serial IO / AMD I2C drivers instead.
| ASUS Official Support | AMD Chipset Driver (includes I2C) | ASUS M1505YA Support Page |
| AMD Official | AMD Chipset Drivers for Windows 11/10 | AMD Drivers Page |
| Processor | AMD Ryzen 5/7 7000 series (e.g., Ryzen 7 7730U) |
| I2C controller | AMD I2C Controller (ACPI\AMD0010) |
| Driver name | AMD Chipset Driver (includes AMD I2C/Serial IO) |
| OS | Windows 11 64-bit |
Go to the ASUS M1505YA support page
Select Windows 11 64-bit
Download the AMD Chipset Driver (or "AMD Serial IO Driver" if listed)
Alternatively, use MyASUS app for one-click driver installation
If you're seeing "I2C HID Device" as unknown in Device Manager, installing the AMD Chipset Driver will resolve it.
