jetjosh92I usually avoid third party apps unless the app gives a solution for any frustrating issue. However, Thanks for suggestion.https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/34732#Comment_34732
erm in the mean time do we want to try this app ? Lux ?

Seems like a legit app to me ?
It is just a short term solution while Anders feeds this back to the dev team to fix this.

Anders_ASUSCould you share the availability of this feature in next FOTA?Adaptive brightness will stay on unless you deactivate it but I agree it does behave strangely sometimes and in these cases you have to set the brightness manually. It doesn't mean it has been deactivated. Eventually, in future FOTA, you will have the option to toggle adaptive brightness on/off from the quick menu

Anders_ASUSThanks for initiative. The idea is good. The problem is some times adaptive is turned off. No idea as it is happening randomly. Instead of looking into the root cause. We just want to know the status of adaptive brightness from quick tile menu. Nothing else.It will look almost like you want in Android Q. It will have an arrow next to the slider which will take you to an option where you can deactivate the adaptive brightness. It's an extra step compared to the older design suggested by jetjosh92 but that's how it will look. The idea with adaptive brightness is that you shouldn't have to think about it.

It's possible that the adaptive brightness on your ROG Phone II is getting turned off due to a software issue. However, there are a couple of things you can try to make it easier to turn on the adaptive brightness feature.
Adding a Tile in Quick Settings: To add a tile in the quick settings panel, swipe down from the top of the screen twice to access the quick settings panel. Then, tap the pencil icon in the bottom left corner to edit the tiles. Scroll down until you see the Adaptive Brightness tile, then drag and drop it to the quick settings panel.
Creating a Shortcut: To create a shortcut for Adaptive Brightness, you can use a third-party app like QuickShortcutMaker. Install the app from the Google Play Store, open it, and search for "Adaptive Brightness" in the search bar. Once you find it, tap on it, then select "Create." This will create a shortcut on your home screen that you can use to quickly toggle Adaptive Brightness on and off. I have learned how to turn on and off on Samsung devices from here: https://www.samsunger.com/2023/04/how-to-turn-on-or-off-adaptive-brightness-on-samsung.html It also provides some ways to download third-party apps.
If you continue to experience issues with the adaptive brightness feature, you may want to try resetting your phone to its factory settings or contacting ASUS customer support for further assistance.
