Screen Lock Problem via Double Tap while on call

If I am on call and I try to lock the phoen using double tap( I have no password security set), then the phone screen freezes. This freeze I have realised is not an actual freeze. The screen gets locks but the visibilty of the screen remains. The phone will keep on showing the screen as it is i.e. the phones gets locked but the screen keeps on showing the display the same things while it was double tapped.
So actually, mobile gets locked but screen remains on.

It's a very specific issue that's not so likely for someone else to notice. I will report it but my advice to you, is to use the power button for this scenario.
