Rog phone 2 switches off / shutdown automatically when not using

My phone automatically switches off or I dnt even know if it's off or not but the screen remains black no button works i have to long press volume up and power button to switch on the phone
It happens twice in 2 days don't know if it's a hardware issue or software please help im missing all my texts messages and calls.

Sounds like hardware issue. I recommend you to contact asus support or an ASUS service center
