Since years I have been using Asus Mobile Desktop Dock for ROG Phone 1, ROG ii and ROG 3.
It worked flawlessly with all these devices and switching phones to dock was never and issue.
But something strange happened several months ago. I had kept Asus ROG Phone 1 docked and while switching the power on nothing happened as it should start charging the mobile but nothing happened.
So i switched device and docked Asus ROG ii which later I figured out damaged my Asus ROG Phone ii motherboard and now this phone only charges when entirely switched off. It cannot be charged when phone is ON and if tried it will freeze and then shutdown automatically.
Nevertheless wondering nothing such happened to my Asus ROG Phone 1 or Asus ROG 3 when docked in this same scenario.
The Dock is still getting the power as the side Display port for PC switching still works fine and dock mirrors the display to external monitor so it seems the dock port is somehow physically damaged and nothing likely a issue with the dock software.
As this product is disconnected years ago, mostly not sure if Official Asus Service Center can help me with a solution.
