Lighting armor case inquiry

Hello,
I have the global elite edition (12/512) and have been wanting to buy this case for quite some time now. Problem is the official ASUS store where I bought my unit from doesn't have this on stock for almost 3 months now. My question is would the chinese/tencent version of the case work fine with my unit? Are there compatibility issues? Kindly advise as I don't want to shell out $50 for a paperweight thanks!

What he meant was, the "chinese/tencent" version will work with any ROG phone 2.
But he does not like the case because there is no case protection at the side of the device.
