ROG phone 8
My other super old phone can use 5ghz wifi🤣
But this phone not showing up 5ghz wifi. It is a gaming phone but only connect to 2.4ghz.
My router have dual band 2.4ghz and 5ghz

Can you please try these, it will help you
Check Wi-Fi Settings: Ensure 5GHz is enabled on your router and that your phone's Wi-Fi settings are set to detect all available networks.
Restart and Update: Restart your phone and router. Check for any software updates for your ROG Phone 8 that might address this issue.
Router Configuration: Make sure your router's 5GHz band is set to a channel your phone can recognize (preferably channels 36-48 or 149-165).
Forget and Reconnect: Forget the Wi-Fi network on your phone and reconnect.
If still you are facing this issue then you should connect with Asus Support team........
