ROG Phone 8 Pro is Disappointing

Had been using a ROG Phone 3 for years but because the battery was having charging issues decided to go with the 8 Pro.  It has been a disappointment with numerous issues with apps.  The screen is not responsive in many apps, the phone seems to have caused random log outs of apps, it is slow in some apps such as gmail where after tapping send on a message it takes up to five seconds to leave the screen, the back arrow doesn't always respond, sometimes it doesn't respond to tapping the screen.  None of these issues existed with the ROG Phone 3 even with its older version of Android so the 8 Pro is a big disappointment and unfortunately I will probably have to look at something other than Asus in the future.

Make sure the setting Battery: Background app management is off.  That feature ignores Android design and kills apps.

Android 14 also breaks some older apps.  That is Google's doing.
