That can be just a slow connection problem maybe some bands are missing. You can try resetting your network settings.
I use 5G there are no issues, because we only have 5G and 4G. ( 3G has been removed already for making space for 5G+).

It could be a good idea to check with your service provider if any change in their compatibility list has been made and if the ROG Phone 8 is supported.
