Hi guys.
My ASUS RoG Phone 7 works fine on Spark New Zealand network (IMS status is “registered”) and often fails making/receiving calls on One New Zealand network (IMS status there is “not registered”). One’s 2G/3G network is shut down. I check IMS status using *#*#4636*#*# dial code, then ‘Phone Information’ then three dots and then ‘IMS Service Status’.
I’d like to hear your feedback on IMS/VoLTE registration with your mobile operator. My questions to the community are below:

Hi! I also had trouble with IMS not registering on one network. It seems many carriers do not whitelist the ASUS phones for VoLTE, even if the phone supports it.
From what I learned, the best way is to contact the carrier and ask them to add your phone’s IMEI to their VoLTE list. Some people said it worked after a few days, but others said their carrier refused.
I did not find a real way to override the settings without root. The dial code helps a little, like you said, but it does not fix it fully and you must do it again after reboot.
So mostly, it depends on the carrier. If they support ASUS phones, IMS works. If not, calls may fail. I hope carriers make better support for this phone soon.
I Hope this will helps!

If you know how to use ADB and Shizuku, use this: pixel-volte-patch/README.en.md at main · kyujin-cho/pixel-volte-patch
It says it's for Pixels but it works on all Androids with Shizuku. Once you enable IMS features, they stick until the next time you update the firmware.
