ROG phone 8 camera bug

It is definitely a bug.

I am able to use face recognition to unlock my phone. Instagram is able to flip selfie camera. But the built in camera app is missing the button for selfie. Pretty sure it's a program bug.

Try to clear the cache of the camera app.

1. Tap [Clear storage] on [Settings] > [Apps & notifications] > [All apps] > [Camera] > [Storage & cache] to see if issue persists.

2. Perform factory reset on your phone to see if issue persists.

you are many to have this problem it s not a hardware problem but a firmware problem since 3 firmware (the last 34 and the 2 35 one) the asus camera firmware has bug. when we use an other camera application there is no problem with all the camera. and after a reboot the asus camera  app bug no front camera and few hours used no problem and some time there is latency  and after that the asus camera bug. after using the 4k camera video the app bug too...  but no problem with using an other app from the play store... I have use the SMMI to test the camera no problem too... 

so please stop talking to reset factory or to go to the SAV and made correction on your application

That's a stupid solution.

Micky79 is right.
It's the firmware issue.

Not all but some of us are actually IT personnel and we know how to dissect an issue.

Stop asking us to reformat or factory reset.
