I really hope so. I didn't realize that it didn't support it until I received the phone today and tried to install Peridot, eventually finding out that it wouldn't let me download it because of the lack of ARCore support, and sideloading the APK doesn't allow playing it. It's incredibly disappointing to have purchased a phone marketed for gaming that can't play a chunk of games.
