zen screen and rog 6 portrait mode

hi, just recently picked up the zenscreen MB16ACE.  One of the first things I tried was connecting it to my rog6 and use in portrait mode only to find out it did nothing? Very strange it didn't simply work as these are both asus. Am I missing an obvious setting or something? The zenscreen is set to auto rotate but doesnt react to movement, I rotate my phone and all it does is rotate the image on the zen but not the orientation

Have you tried having the zenscreen normally and not in auto-rotate? And are you using the side-port of the ROG6?

Thanks for the reply! I've tried with no auto rotate on and I'm using the side port, I haven't tried with the bottom port yet

The bottom port is not compatible with HDMI out, which refresh rate are you using on your phone?
