Rog Phone 6 wifi ping issues

The wifi ping is really bad on this phone especially in 5 ghz. It's not just bad it is unstable. The ping constantly fluctuates. I watched youtube videos of others using this phone to play genshin impact and I noticed their pings were also unstable. I tested my rog phone 3 side by side and that phone was having no issues with ping. I hope Asus can fix this.
Or maybe there is a hidden setting in the phone causing this?

i have the same issue with my ASUS ROG PHONE 6, and to make sure that the issue is from my device not from anything else, i did factory reset my ASUS ROG PHONE 6, restarted the router, i stuck my nose to the router and tested the 5G speed by three other devices (iphone 12 pro max, ipad mini 6, Note 20 ultra, S22 ultra) and surprizingly my device ASUS ROGO PHONE 6 is the worst because all devices achieved more than 600 mbps but my rog 6 achieved 480 mbps!!! BTW my router speed is 1000 mbps.

wish to fix that because even using ethernet adapter not improoving the quality of the speed and ipad mini 6 is way way better when it comes to ethernet connection speed.

This has also been tested by @FunBike31 , not only is the wifi worse but your mobile data connection as well. What the cause may be is unknown. I can confirm this was not an issue on the Rog3, so it's either something new with the Rog6 or another copy paste side effect from the Rog5.

Good day everyone.
I got a reply from the R&D Team and they can't seem to be able to recreate it, which means I will be needing some logs, if you are up to it 🙂
Together with the Logs I would appreciate a screenshot of the phone with the time when this is happening.
Please follow the below steps to enable the built-in log tool (Bug reporter).
1.  Open “Calculator APP”
2.  Enter “.19595+=”
3.  Select the Log type according to the type of issue you want to capture. “Wi-Fi” will work for this issue.
4.  After your selection the log tool will exit so you can duplicate the issue or wait for it to happen. Try to use the screen recorder to show your issue when possible. If you can't screen record your issue, then please take a screenshot right after the issue has occurred (as a timestamp) so we know where to look in the log.
5.  Navigate back to the log tool via calculator and Tap "FINISH AND SHARE".
6. It takes several minutes for the log to generate. You can exit and do other stuff in the meantime. A silent notification will tell you once the process is done. Tap the notification and then the share button to upload the file to Google Drive and share the link with a moderator. Just make sure to change the permission first so that everyone with the link has permission to view it.
Note: When you're no longer planning on logging your device, enter “.09595+=” in the calculator and the log tool will stop as well as deleting all stored log files. Make sure to share via calculator. The files found in internal storage -> asus_log are not the correct files (they are only 1.2kb)

Instead of trying to cope, try to read the post. Let me make it very clear:

Rog Phone 6 wifi ping issues

I've tried it with my rog phone 5 side by side too. I had 200+mbps on my rog 5 but 17mbps on my rog 6 for upload speed on wifi 6. Rog 6's 5ghz wifi ping is really bad that I had to use my rog 5 to game instead. I'm a ROG fan but this wifi issue makes me feel like I bought the rog 6 for nothing 😣.
