FOTA updates warning message

I just bought an Asus Rog Phone 6, 16 GB Ram/512 GB ROM and from start I have an Warning message: "The installed firmware does not match the device origin. Please note that you may not receive any FOTA updates. "

Model Name: Asus Rog Phone 6

Firmware Version: ww_33.2810.2207.134

Rooted or not: just bought it, not rooted

Frequency of Occurrence: always in notification

Did you buy from Asus itself or from a 3rd party? Does your back cover have the word tencent? Sounds like the typical issue of a global firmware flashed on top of the China only hardware.

It was bought from a 3rd party but the box was sealed. Yes, the back cover have the word Tencent games on it.

Is there any thing that I can do about it?

The box was sealed when I have received it.

common problem. the phone is intended for china firmware. the seller had previously opened it, flashed with the global rom. hence youre facing this unapproved software hardware interface.

The only way is to try manually update your firmware thru the download on the rog support page. the next best is try finding the seller for a refund.
