========================================
Thank you ASUS for supporting VoLTE & VoWiFi on Telstra mobile network, in Australia starting Nov 2021 firmware update! This has been long overdue, but, as they say, better late than never 😀.
Thank you. I hope the future ASUS phones have these sorts of essential functionalities right off the bat as and when the new phones are released in our market (and in hopefully every market you sell your phones to).
Good luck for those lacking these functionalities (and been patiently waiting!) that you too hopefully will soon be getting a similar treatment in your country on the mobile carrier of your choice.

According to Whirlpool "Asus Zenfone 8 - Australian Model!!" thread, users are reporting that VoLTE & VoWiFi are working for them now (albeit having to force using Enhanced 4G code). You may want to consult that forum too.

Yep once you activate the code to show the 4g calling option in settings turning it on does get you provisioned for VoLTE on Telstra. My guess is that they have added unofficial support since people are complaining about it but they have not had the time to test it. Thank you Asus now this can return to being my favorite phone not just my favorite 5g access point.

Just an update for those who are enabling this. After each restart of the phone you will need to input the VoLTE code then go to settings and turn the enhanced 4g calling setting off then back on again to re enable VoLTE.

And let's hope that ASUS makes the whole VoLTE settings (and by extension VoWiFi) all automatic (and preserve them across reboot) for all AU mobile carriers in the upcoming firmware update, so that we don't have to follow any tricky procedures to activate those essential functionalities.
I've been thoroughly enjoying Rog 5's VoLTE and VoWiFi on Telstra/Boost for over a week now 😀. They've been rock solid! I especially like how fast VoLTE and VoWiFi activate themselves when connecting to their respective networks.
(With such settings activated as SSID Bridging - Fast Handover, SSID Bridging - Auto Connection & Mobile data always active -- all under Settings -> System -> Developer options -> Networking, roaming between WiFi hotspots & transitioning to and fro between mobile and WiFi work great. Though I believe keeping mobile data always active can have some effect on battery, when/where the mobile signal coverage is weak. Anyway I've been trying to workout all optimal configurations for my wireless network connections.)
