JopsikIts normal for the phone. I already covered the insufficient cooling lots of times. Is it normal that after 5 minutes of play, the processor is at 100 degrees?

ronald1985@Jopsik Device temperature aside , SOC did not have sufficient cooling machanism and though the device temperature is normal , SOC is overheating and gonna start throttling which means that heat transfer from SOC to chassis is not good enough for heat to escape outside the devicehttps://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/50413/genshin-impact-fry-processor
Depends on your temperature around your environment too AKA ambient temperature.
But 40 degree celsius sound very normal to me considering how resource intensive Genshin Impact is.

michal.padoI strongly recommend against dunking your ROG phone 5 in the water for many reasons - one of them being that it does not carry an IP rating. There are less expensive ways of learning what customer induced damage means. 😉https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/175326#Comment_175326
I've put it in a sink filled with cold water, it werks fine.

michal.padoYeah, I figured as much. 😀 And while that model does carry an IP68 rating I would issue a similar warning against deliberately submerging it in water.Oops haha, I thought I'm in the Zenfone 8 section lol
