Go to Settings-Battery - Visual Settings and the 3rd option is the Charging Animation. Ensure that its kept on.

The animation that shows on lock screen while being connected to charger. It shows briefly and then only 'Hypercharge 30' is shown. Is that the way it is ? I meant like in other OS the animation persists while charging.
Also by firmware version, I assume you are asking Build number, so my Build number is:
