Sound problems Headphone doesn't work. Callers complaining about hearing themselves.

Rooted or not: not
Frequency of Occurrence: all the time

Hello,
Trying to get music, media and Whatsapp calls and sound recordings playing via my headphone, but it just keeps on playing via speakers. Tried another headphone and another aux speaker, but it will not work. They function on other devices, so it must be the phone that doesn't switch to the headphone.
Second problem is callers hearing themselves back very load. They say it is very annoying. Is there something to to about it with the settings?

@chmulder You should be able to switch the media output:
Press the volume button -> Click on the icon with the sliders below the volume slider -> Output icon -> Choose your earphones.

1.I see you are running on a very old firmware, are you getting automatic update notifications?
2.Could you try with latest update WW-18.0840.2107.151?

It is not so handy that the discussion is closed already:-(. I am very busy, so I have tot schedule in to look at this forum and many times something important change plans. I know this is a games phone, but I bought it as work phone. The problem with the headphone cannot be changed in settings at that moment. However, after turning off and on a couple of times, it is (self)fixed. The problem with callers hearing themselves seems to be callers that call via company phone centrals.
The phone has now version 18.0830.2101.86 and the phone is (and was) set to update automatically. So why I had old firmware I really don't know. Maybe my continent is later?
