WiFI Calling and VoLTE

Why aren't the options available with  *#*#3642623344#*#* just accessible from the menu on ROG and Zenphones without having to dial the code? This is a huge issue. You will find hundreds of post across redit andXDA from people complaining that ASUS hides these menu options even when they are supported by cell providers and the devices themselves. Every time I reboot my phone I have to re-enter the code to get WiFI Calling working because the menu option isn't there. For a gaming computer/power user centric manufacturing company this just seems like a hugely idiotic way to lock those that want to use all the available functions of a device out for no reason. Please, can someone explain to me why they did this?

My experience is that Wi-Fi Calling has some problems so it's hidden.  Sometimes it shows as active when it's not working.  There might be some missing WiFi tuning because calls break up like it's in power saving mode.

Then the logical thing to do if you're having problems is to turn it off again in the menu. Hiding the capability behind a service dialing code seems ridiculous. It works great for me in areas where I have WIFI but not much cell reception after I dial the code and then enable it. If your network doesn't support wifi calling that is a separate issue and even in the menu, under the wifi calling toggle it literally says that your carrier will have to have wifi calling enabled for it to work as a disclaimer. So why hide it, and the disclaimer, in the first place? Furthermore, even if it is hidden, it is still on the phone. A way to keep the menu option permanently visible, even if you have to dial a code, would be great because you currently have to dial the longest service code ever, every time you reboot. This is just disappointing for ASUS.
