Many users, including myself, are facing issues with Google Wallet on the ROG Phone 5/5S due to outdated security patches. ASUS has acknowledged the issue, but there is no clear timeline for a fix. Can ASUS provide an estimated release date for a security update to resolve this? Thanks!

As reported by some of the guys in the community, none of the A11 devices were affected in November when Google implemented the patch. So you are lucky that you have no issues.

However now we're being asked to visit the service center to get the issue resolved 😅

Asus may just hard pass and may not provide a quick OTA kind of solution as ROG 5 released in 2021 have completed its 2 years of software support, but may be the service center can help.
Still keep an eye if something comes up here: https://rog.asus.com/phones/rog-phone-5s-model/helpdesk_download?model2name=rog%20phone%205s never know whats next and when
Rest all my wallets in ROG 3 Android 12 and ROG 2 Android 11 still works.

There's no chance they would giveaway an OTA to fix the patch. Since our devices are out of warranty at this point, they would charge us to get it fixed via service center. 👌

Then its not worth it (visiting service center just to get security patch update) and no point to buy so called ROG premium phones anymore.
Will have to switch to Apple in near future.
